Parent/Caregiver Support Groups

It's hard being a kid these days. And it's hard being a parent, trying to figure out how to support your child through their mental health struggles.

The good news is: You are not alone. There are other parents and caregivers who are struggling with similar things as you are, and even some parents and caregivers who have made it through the tough time you are in right now.

That’s what you’ll find in our NAMI Parent/Caregiver Support Groups - you'll benefit from other’s experiences, discover your inner strength and empower yourself by sharing your own experiences in a non-judgmental space.

These support groups are led by a parent of children with mental health conditions.

Current Parent/Caregiver Support Groups:

In-Person Group:

First Tuesday of each month at the Beaverton Resource Center.

This group is for parents and caregivers of middle and high school students in the Beaverton School District.

We would love to form more in-person groups in other districts - contact us if you’d like a group in your district!

Virtual Group:

First and third Thursdays of each month on Zoom.

This Zoom support group is for parents and caregivers of youth living with a mental health challenge.
