Make art, support NAMI

At NAMI Washington County, we love art. It looks beautiful, and just the act of making it can help us feel better too. A 2023 study from NAMI and the Adobe Foundation found that there are strong personal and mental health benefits for those who engage in creative activities, especially among marginalized communities.

Our Art Room is open every hour our building is open, full of supplies to create whatever you’re inspired to make.

Those supplies come from generous donations from our community - and this holiday season, we’re hoping that will continue!

We would love for you to donate your arts and crafts projects to NAMI, and then we will sell them at the Oak Hills Holiday Bazaar this December! All money raised will go directly to buying more arts and crafts supplies for the Art Room.

The NAMI Art Room is a safe and welcoming space that provides a supportive environment where people can express themselves through art and connect with others who are going through similar experiences. By donating your finished art projects, you can help support this important resource and ensure that it continues to provide a creative outlet for those who need it most. So, if you have any art projects that you’ve been meaning to finish or pieces that you’d like to donate, please consider donating it to make a difference!

Just think - someone could buy an art piece you made and give it as a holiday gift! We can’t wait to see what you create!

Deadline to donate is 11/29/2023. Any art that does not sell at the event will be returned to its creator.

Interested? Email chelsea@washconami.org

We are also looking for volunteers to help at the Holiday Bazaar on December 1st and 2nd - email Chelsea if you’re interested in helping out!

So what should you make and donate? We are open to any and all artsy creations!
