Happy LGBTQ+ Pride Month! 🌈

June is LGBTQ+ Pride month, a whole month dedicated to the uplifting of LGBTQ+ voices, celebration of LGBTQ+ culture and the support of LGBTQ+ rights, as well as recognizing the many contributions made by the LGBTQ+ community to history, society and cultures around the world.

If you're looking to celebrate pride, there are a lot of events happening around Washington County:

Beaverton

Pride Pool Party: Sat, June 10, 1-4pm

This pool party, hosted by the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District, is open to the community of all ages, genders, and abilities. Come celebrate Pride by having a pool party with swimming, music, food, games, prizes, and a photo opportunity for our guests.

Family Pride in the Park: Sat, June 17, 11am-2pm

Bring your family and friends to celebrate diversity and inclusivity in our community. Enjoy a variety of activities and entertainment for all ages, hosted by the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District. The event is free and open to all, so don't miss out on this opportunity to show your support and spread love and acceptance.

Pride Night: Fri, June 16, 6-9pm

Join us for an enchanting celebration of love, diversity, and acceptance at Garden Home’s PRIDE Night, hosted by the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District. There will be a DJ, bounce house, light refreshments, vendors, roller skating demo and more!

DIY Pronoun Pins: Sun, June 18, 2:30-4:30pm

Get ready for Pride Beaverton and make your own pin to easily share your pronouns! All materials will be provided. All ages.

Project Pride @ Shadywood Park: Sat, June 10, 9am-12pm

In honor of Pride Month, people of all ages and identities are invited to beautify Shadywood Park together. This is a free event.

Hillsboro Pride 5K & Celebration: Fri, June 23, 4:30pm-8pm

Bring the family and celebrate Pride, with live music, vendors, food trucks, sidewalk chalk, and other all ages activities. 5k run or walk starts at 6pm - pre-registration is required.

Tigard

Tigard Pride Celebration: Sat, June 10, 2-5pm

Tigard-Tualatin School District and the City of Tigard are hosting a pride parade and celebration! Parade begins at Tigard Towne Square, moves east on Durham Rd, ends at Tigard High School. Then celebrate with us at the end of the parade with food, music, and vendors.

Find Your Voice with LGBTQ+ Northwest Independent Writers: Thu, June 15, 6:30-7:30pm

Join us for a panel discussion by LGBTQ+ writers for LGBTQ+ persons who want advice on how to get started writing and tell their story or find their voice. Registration is required.

Forest Grove


Find Your Pronouns: Wed, June 14, 2pm

For Teens/Tweens.

Join us to make a pin you can add to your backpack or clothes that will let people know right away which pronouns you prefer at the moment. Using felt, embroidery, and maybe a touch of hot glue you can make a pin that is just as unique as you!
