Improving the lives of those affected by mental illness through support, education, and advocacy.

Our Mission

NAMI Washington County (Oregon) is a community, volunteer-based non-profit service organization.  We are a grassroots, family and peer organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families impacted by mental illness through education, support, and advocacy.

Hope: We believe in the possibility of recovery, wellness, and the potential in all of us.

Inclusion: We embrace diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.

Empowerment: We promote confidence, self-efficacy, and service to our mission.

Compassion: We practice respect, kindness, and empathy.

Fairness: We fight for equity and justice.

Support

At NAMI Washington County, we offer various support groups with more being added when the need arises and qualified facilitators join our affiliate. NAMI support groups are peer-led and offer participants an opportunity to share their experiences and gain support from other attendees. NAMI Washington County also has partnered with the Mental Health & Addiction Association of Oregon, MHAAO, to offer PeerZone, a series of peer-led workshops for people who experience mental distress and addiction. The workshops provide a fun, interactive, and safe structure for participants to share their experiences, learn self-management and expand their horizons.

Support Group Calendar

*Please note that group admission closes after 15 minutes or at the close of individual check-in to maintain group cohesion.
